Interior Minister, Salameh Hammad, Tuesday said that the frequent closure of the Jordanian-Iraqi borders should be solved, where all Jordan's exports depends on Karameh Border Crossing is the only port which links the two countries.
Hammad made remarks as he met with Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Jawad Hadi Abbas, where the two officials discussed ways to remove all obstacles facing Jordan's cargo transportation to Iraq.
The meeting touched on a number of issues including, political, economic and security fields, as well as, means to further boost bilateral ties between the two countries.
Abbas stressed that the solution to the closure is underway, in which another border crossing links Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq will be carried out soon.
