Diyala agriculture directorate announced on Tuesday that more than 2 billion Iraqi Dinar were granted as financial loans to the province’s farmers in order to dig around 300 artesian aquifers stressing the importance of this step aimed to enhance water resources and expand the surface of agricultural lands.
Head of Diyala agriculture directorate Majed Khalil told Alsumarianews that around 2 billion Dinar were granted to 314 farmers in different regions of the province in order to dig 314 artesian aquifers and ensure more water resources to agricultural lands.
