BEIJING--China's yuan may depreciate about 2% against the U.S. dollar in 2015 amid the slowdown in the Chinese economy, said researchers at Fudan University, according to a report by the state-run China Daily.
The U.S. dollar will further strengthen this year given robust economic growth in the U.S. and strong expectations of higher interest rates in that country, the researchers said in a report.
China's yuan lost around 2% against the dollar in 2014.
